our story

Led by brothers David and Jeff Lazaroff, Brothers Lazaroff is both a St. Louis-based songwriting and production team and a dynamic six-to-fifteen-piece ensemble. Known for blending genres around a foundation of deeply rooted songwriting, the band has cultivated a distinct sound and a loyal following through its prolific output and community-driven live events.

With over a dozen original albums, EPs, and live recordings, Brothers Lazaroff has built a musical universe that continues to grow—fueled by a wide-ranging family of multidisciplinary artists and collaborators.

In addition to David and Jeff on vocals and guitars, the core lineup includes Teddy Brookins (bass), Mark Hochberg (violin), Joey Ferber (guitar/keyboards), and Freddy Spencer (drums), Chris Hansen (percussion), Andrew Warshauer (DJ),  Anita Jackson (vocals), and many others.

Their collaborations as producers and songwriters span a wide array of artists and genres, including Anita Jackson, Elizabeth McQueen, Blvck Spvde and The Cosmos, and Peter Martin. 

As Steve Leftridge of The Riverfront Times puts it, David and Jeff are “a duo that lives and breathes music as players, writers, genre mixologists, sound explorers, and ardent fans.”
